The USR-PLUS electoral slogan, “A Romania without a thief” was banned by the Dâmbovița Electoral Bureau, following an appeal from the Social Democratic Party. PSD Dâmbovița claims that the Alliance motto instigates “hatred, xenophobia”.

Specifically, this electoral alliance uses messages that put all electoral competitors at a disadvantage, through posters with the slogan ‘A Romania without a thief’ ”, is shown in the PSD notification.

The Dâmbovița County Elections Office found that the slogan “has a marked defamatory character, since it is likely to mislead the electorate, directly conveying the idea that the rest of the electoral competitors would agree against the message of the slogan, in the sense that they would favor the violation of criminal law ”.

BEJ Dâmbovița ordered a ban on the use of propaganda material with the slogan “A Romania without a thief” in the county.

The decision of the County Elections Office will be challenged in the Central Elections Office, USR-PLUS representatives announced.
