The large number of deaths of COVID-19 patients in the last period, in Sibiu, caused the obstruction of the Pathological Anatomy, and the doctors requested a container, because there are no more places inside, writes Mediafax.

A city company has made a container available to the Pathological Anatomy Service that will comply with epidemiological safety conditions.

This container will take care of the situation of deceased patients infected with SARS-CoV-2.

The situation in Sibiu has become critical, after, in the last week, there were days in which between 10 and 15 people died from coronavirus.

The building where the Pathological Anatomy Service operates in Sibiu is the same one where the Forensic Medicine Service operates, a small building. Medical sources stated that the Pathological Anatomy has a capacity of 10 – maximum 12 places.

There is no free bed in the Emergency Hospital for COVID-19 patients. Those in the containers were also busy

The containers installed a month ago with the funds allocated by the Sibiu City Council have complemented the hospitalization capacity of COVID patients with 52 beds, currently reaching 177 beds. On Tuesday, there is no free bed.
