On Tuesday, the joint session of the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate began to debate the budget rectification, which includes the PSD amendment on increasing the pension point by 40%, as well as the ceiling of public debt, according to the methodology of the EU, by the end of 2020, of a maximum of 40%. of GDP.

The PSD won the first “match” of the meeting.

The Liberals demanded that the budget rectification be returned to the commission for 30 days, but the request did not reach the required number of votes. UDMR voted against, as did PSD.

PNL and USR voted in favor.

There were 175 votes in favor of the referral to the commission, 225 votes against, 6 abstentions and 11 parliamentarians did not vote.

The point was that the issue would be debated after the local elections.

At the same time, the leader of the UDMR deputies, Benedek Zacharie, accused “nonsense” in the form of the parliamentary committees. “As it went through the commissions, it is silly. It increases expenses but puts a ceiling on public debt. I ask that we eliminate the amendment with the public debt ceiling of 40% of GDP,” said the member of the UDMR.
