The government has adopted a decision on investments of 70 million lei of European funds for the expansion of Calafat’s port infrastructure, the head of the Prime Minister’s Chancellery, Ionel Dancă, announced on Friday.

“The Government’s draft decision was adopted to approve the technical-economic indicators for the expansion of the Calafat port infrastructure, an important project for the county of Dolj, but also for what the navigability of the Danube means and the economic potential of the Danube.

Through this project, investments of approximately 70 million lei are considered, for a period of 30 months, through the Large Infrastructure Operational Program. There are European funds that will be used to expand Calafat’s port infrastructure ”, Ionel Dancă also specified at the Victoria Palace.

According to him, at the government meeting on Thursday, two decisions were made on infrastructure works at the “Tudor Vladimirescu” National Military College in Craiova and on intervention works at Barracks 807 in this municipality.

“Another investment objective in Craiova is the Government’s draft decision for the approval of the technical-economic indicators for the infrastructure works necessary for the operation of the National Military College ‘Tudor Vladimirescu, for an amount of 144 million lei and, Associated with this investment objective, another government decision was adopted for intervention works in pavilions and service networks in Barracks 807 in Craiova, worth 59 million lei ”, explained Dancă.
