In the last 24 hours, 4,435 new cases of COVID infection were confirmed, out of 14,859 tests. 121 new deaths were registered, while 1,289 patients are in intensive care.

To date, on December 13, in Romania, 556,335 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed.
457,360 patients were declared cured.

Following tests conducted at the national level, compared to the last report, 4,435 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, cases that had not previously had a positive test.

The coefficient of accumulated infections at 14 days, reported per 1,000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Public Health Directorates, at the municipal and county levels of Bucharest. Below is the table prepared based on the reports received by CNCCI from the Public Health Directorates:

Aside from the recently confirmed cases, after retesting patients who were already positive, 583 people were positively reconfirmed.

To date, 13,385 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.

Between 12.12.2020 (10:00) – 13.12.2020 (10:00) 121 deaths (74 men and 47 women) were reported, of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Argeș, Bacău, Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Brăila, Brașov, Botoșani, Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Cluj, Constanța, Dâmbovița, Galați, Gorj, Hunedoara, Ialomița, Iași, Maramureș, Mare, Murehova, Timișllucea, and the Municipality of Vasai Oltucea from Bucharest.

Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age category 30 to 39 years, 3 deaths in the age category 40 to 49 years, 12 deaths in the age category 50 to 59 years, 41 deaths in the age category age 60 to 69 years, 41 deaths in the age category 70 to 79 years and 23 deaths in the category over 80 years.

117 of the registered deaths were of some patients who presented comorbidities and for 4 deceased patients, no comorbidities were registered.

In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 12,136. Of these, 1,289 are hospitalized in ATI.

To date, 4,428,071 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 14,859 were performed in the last 24 hours, 9,650 based on the definition of the case and medical protocol, and 5,209 upon request.

In Romania, 42,328 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated in their homes and 11,460 people are in institutional isolation. Additionally, 65,354 people are in home quarantine and 130 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 2,730 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law No. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on December 12 of this year, 6,134 sanctions for minor offenses, in the amount of 1,133,872 lei.
Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, 3 crimes were found yesterday to frustrate the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.

We remind citizens that the Ministry of the Interior has put into operation, as of 04/07/2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where infractions to health protection regulations can be notified. The calls are answered by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified issues.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, it was confirmed that 6,951 Romanian citizens were infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (coronavirus): 1,936 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 125 in France, 3,085 in Germany, 167 in the Kingdom United, 36 in Hungary, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the US, 4 in Sweden, 123 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 8 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 93 in Greece, 10 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 8 in the United Arab Emirates, 12 in Moldova, 2 in Montenegro and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil , Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Republic of the Congo, Qatar, Vatican, Portugal, Egypt and the Russian Federation.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 127 Romanian citizens abroad, 32 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of Congo and one in Greece, they have died.

Among the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus infection, 797 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
