In the last 24 hours, 3,288 new cases of COVID-19 were reported, of the 18,175 tests carried out. Another 46 Romanians died after being infected with coronavirus. In ATI there are 1093 patients.
To date, on March 7, in Romania, 828,283 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed.
After tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 3,288 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, cases that had not previously had a positive test.
The coefficient of accumulated infections at 14 days, reported per 1,000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Public Health Directorates, at the municipal and county levels of Bucharest. Below is the table prepared based on the reports received by CNCCI from the Public Health Directorates:
To date, 20,900 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.
Between 06.03.2021 (10:00) – 07.03.2021 (10:00) 46 deaths were reported (19 men and 27 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Argeș, Bacău, Brăila, Bistrița-Năsăud, Botoșani, Călărași, Cluj, Constanța, Hunedoara, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Neamț, Satu Mare, Sălaj, Sibiu, Suceava, Timiș Tulcea, Vaslui, Vâlcearest, Vrancea and Bucarest.
Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age group 40 to 49 years, 4 deaths in the age category 50 to 59 years, 9 deaths in the age category 60 to 69 years, 18 deaths in the age category of age 70 to 79 years and 14 deaths in the category of over 80 years.
45 of the deaths registered were of some patients who presented comorbidities and 1 deceased patient did not present comorbidities.
In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 9,560. Of these, 1,093 are hospitalized in ATI.
To date, 6,772,074 RT-PCR tests and 356,196 rapid antigen tests have been processed nationwide. In the last 24 hours, 13,079 RT-PCR tests were performed (7,378 based on case definition and medical protocol and 5,701 on request) and 5,096 rapid antigenic tests.
In Romania, 47,069 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated in their homes and 13,771 people are in institutional isolation. In addition, 50,503 people are in home quarantine and 114 people are in institutionalized quarantine.
In the last 24 hours, 2,459 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112.
As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law No. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on March 6, 6,118 penalties for minor offenses, amounting to 1,260,696 lei.
Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday 3 criminal proceedings were raised to frustrate the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.
We remind the public that the Ministry of the Interior has put into operation, as of 04/07/2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of health protection regulations can be notified.
The calls are answered by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified matters.
Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, it was confirmed that 23,477 Romanian citizens were infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (coronavirus): 2,539 in Italy, 16,773 in Spain, 195 in the United Kingdom, 125 in France, 3,116 in Germany, 93 in Greece, 49 in Denmark, 37 in Hungary, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the US, 7 in Sweden, 137 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 43 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 7 in Bulgaria, 12 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 8 in the United Arab Emirates, 13 in Moldova, 3 in Montenegro, 218 in Ireland, 2 in Singapore, 3 in Tunisia, 7 in the Republic of Korea and one in Argentina, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Kazakhstan, Republic of the Congo, Qatar, Vatican, Portugal, Egypt, Pakistan, Iran, Slovenia, Federation of Russia and Croatia. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 186 Romanian citizens abroad, 34 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 60 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, 3 in Sweden, 4 have died in Ireland, 2 in Switzerland, 1 in the United States, 1 in Brazil, 1 in the Republic of the Congo, 1 in Greece and 1 in Iran.
Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus infection, 798 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg, one in Tunisia and one in Argentine.
