In the last 24 hours there were 2,086 new COVID-19 cases out of 25,797 tests. Authorities reported another 37 deaths due to coronavirus infections. The number of patients admitted to ATI increases to 557.

To date, on October 1, in Romania, 129,658 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed.

103,994 patients were declared cured.

After tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 2,086 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, cases that had not previously had a positive test.

Aside from the newly confirmed cases, after retesting patients who were already positive, 509 people were positively reconfirmed.

To date, 4,862 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died.

Between 30.09.2020 (10:00) – 01.10.2020 (10:00) there were 37 deaths (28 men and 9 women), of some patients infected by the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Bacău, Brașov, Caraș-Severin, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Gorj, Hunedoara, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Mureș, Neamț, Olt, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Suceava, Timiș and Bucharest.

Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age category 40 to 49 years, 5 deaths in the age category 50 to 59 years, 13 deaths in the age category 60 to 69 years, 11 deaths in the age category of age 70 to 79 years. years and 7 deaths in the category of over 80 years.

All deaths were in patients with comorbidities.

In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 7,617. Of these, 557 are hospitalized in ATI.

To date, 2,445,488 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 25,797 were performed in the last 24 hours, 16,991 based on case definition and medical protocol and 8,806 upon request.

In Romania, 8,169 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are in isolation at home and 6,497 people are in institutionalized isolation. Additionally, 22,844 people are in home quarantine and 2 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 1,366 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 645 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened especially to inform citizens.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law No. 55 of 05.15.2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 294 sanctions for minor offenses, worth 62,000 lei.

Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday 2 crimes were found to frustrate the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.

We remind the public that the Ministry of the Interior has put into operation, as of 04/07/2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of health protection regulations can be notified.

The calls are answered by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified issues.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, 6,701 Romanian citizens were confirmed infected by COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1,917 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 2,935 in Germany, 159 in Great Britain, 28 in Holland, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the USA, 119 in Austria, 20 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 93 in Greece, 7 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 7 in the United Arab Emirates and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Republic of the Congo, Hungary and Qatar.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of the Congo and one in Greece, they have died.

Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 733 were declared cured: 613 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
