In the past 24 hours, 9,937 COVID-19 cases were reported, out of 36,202 tests. Another 130 Romanians died after being infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, while 1,048 patients are hospitalized in ATI.
To date, on November 7, in Romania, 296,999 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed. 201,114 patients were declared cured.
After tests conducted at the national level, compared to the last report, 9,937 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) were registered, cases that had not previously had a positive test.

Between 06.11.2020 (10:00) – 07.11.2020 (10:00) 130 deaths (86 men and 44 women) were reported, of some patients infected by the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Argeș, Bacău, Bistrița-Năsăud, Botoșani, Brașov, Buzău, Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Constanța, Covasna, Gorj, Harghita, Iași, Mehedinți, Mureș, Neamț, Olti, Prahova, Sălaj, Vibrancea and Sibiu, V.
Of these, 3 deaths were recorded in the age category 30 to 39 years, 4 deaths in the age category 40 to 49 years, 11 deaths in the age category 50 to 59 years, 39 deaths in the age category of age 60 to 69 years, 31 deaths in the age category 70 to 79 years and 42 deaths in the category over 80 years.
122 of the deaths registered were of some patients who presented comorbidities, 3 deceased patients did not present comorbidities and for 5 deceased patients so far no comorbidities have been reported.
In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 12,113, of which 1,048 are hospitalized in ATI.
To date, 3,455,093 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 36,202 were performed in the last 24 hours, 20,612 based on case definition and medical protocol, and 15,590 upon request.
Likewise, since the last information made by GCS, the results of 646 tests processed before the last 24 hours and sent until November 7 have been reported.
In Romania, 39,505 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated in their homes and 24,181 people are in institutionalized isolation. Additionally, 69,846 people are in home quarantine and 19 people are in institutionalized quarantine.
In the last 24 hours, 4,472 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 882 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened especially to inform the public.
As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmerie applied, in the last 24 hours, 8,145 penalties for minor offenses, amounting to 1,177,275 lei.
Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday 6 infractions were found to frustrate the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of the Congo and one in Greece, they have died.
Among Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus infection, 797 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
