The number of deaths from COVID-19 is increasing. New registry of patients admitted to ATI

In the last 24 hours, 6,149 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported. Another 174 Romanians died after being infected with coronavirus. There are 1,367 COVID patients in ATI, a new record since the start of the pandemic.

To date, on March 23, in Romania, 907,007 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed.

814,182 patients were declared cured.

Following tests conducted at the national level, compared to the last report, 6,149 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, cases that had not previously had a positive test.

The coefficient of accumulated infections at 14 days, reported per 1,000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Public Health Directorates, at the municipal and county levels of Bucharest. Below is the table prepared based on the reports received by CNCCI from the Public Health Directorates:

To date, 22,442 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.

Between 22.03.2021 (10:00) – 23.03.2021 (10:00) 174 deaths were reported (96 men and 78 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Argeș, Bacău, Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Botoșani, Brăila, Brașov, Buzău, Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Cluj, Constanța, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Galați, Gorj, Harghita, Hunedoara, Iași, Maramureș, Marecea, Surehiuor, Suracea, Surahiuor, Sumeri , Timiș, Tulcea, Vaslui, Vrancea, Ilfov and Bucharest.

Of these, 2 deaths were recorded in the age category 30 to 39 years, 5 deaths in the age category 40 to 49 years, 12 deaths in the age category 50 to 59 years, 49 deaths in the age category of age 60 to 69 years, 57 deaths in the age group 70 to 79 years and 49 deaths in the category of over 80 years.

163 of the registered deaths are of some patients who presented comorbidities, 2 deceased patients did not present comorbidities and for 9 deceased patients, no comorbidities have been reported to date.

In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 12,358. Of these, 1,367 are hospitalized in ATI.

To date, 6,520,795 RT-PCR tests and 519,722 rapid antigen tests have been processed throughout the country. In the last 24 hours, 25,734 RT-PCR tests were performed (16,518 based on case definition and medical protocol and 9,216 on request) and 12,687 rapid antigen tests.

Likewise, since the last information made by GCS, the results of 279 RT-PCR tests have been reported, processed before the last 24 hours and transmitted until March 23 of this year.

In Romania, 65,912 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated in their homes and 15,871 people are in institutional isolation. In addition, 53,987 people are quarantined at home, and there are 90 people in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 6,303 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 969 of the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened especially to inform the public.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law No. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on March 22, 5,629 penalties for minor offenses, in the amount of 1,031,150 lei.

Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday 4 criminal proceedings were raised to frustrate the fight against diseases, in which 4 people are investigated, a fact provided and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.

We remind citizens that the Ministry of the Interior has put into operation, as of 04/07/2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where infractions to health protection regulations can be notified.

The calls are answered by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified issues.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, it was confirmed that 23,493 Romanian citizens were infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (coronavirus): 2,542 in Italy, 16,773 in Spain, 195 in the United Kingdom, 125 in France, 3,118 in Germany, 93 in Greece, 49 in Denmark, 37 in Hungary, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the US, 8 in Sweden, 137 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 46 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 7 in Bulgaria, 12 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 5 in Ukraine, 8 in the United Arab Emirates, 13 in Moldova, 3 in Montenegro, 218 in Ireland, 3 in Singapore, 3 in Tunisia, 8 in the Republic of Korea, 2 in Bosnia and Herzegovina and one in Argentina, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Kazakhstan, Republic of the Congo, Qatar, Vatican, Portugal, Egypt, Pakistan, Iran, Slovenia, the Russian Federation and Croatia.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic until now, 189 Romanian citizens abroad, 34 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 60 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, 3 in Sweden, 5 in Ireland, 2 in Switzerland, 2 in Austria, 1 in the United States, 1 in Brazil, 1 in the Republic of the Congo, 1 in Greece and 1 in Iran, have died.

Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus infection, 798 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg, one in Tunisia and one in Argentine.
