The number of deaths from coronavirus increases again

In the last 24 hours there were 1,111 new cases of Covid-19, out of the 21,049 tests carried out. However, the number of deaths is increasing, another 51 people have died due to the coronavirus infection. 460 patients are admitted to intensive care.

To date, on September 15, in Romania, 105,298 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed.

Data on persons declared cured will be transmitted as soon as possible and will not be available at this time due to technical changes made in the data centralization application.

Following nationwide testing, compared to the last report, 1,111 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were recorded, cases that had not previously had a positive test.

Unlike the newly confirmed cases, after retesting patients who were already positive, 591 people were positively reconfirmed.

To date, 4,236 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died.

Between 14.09.2020 (10:00) – 15.09.2020 (10:00) there were 51 deaths (28 men and 23 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Bihor, Botoșani, Brașov, Buzău, Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Giurgiu, Hunedoara, Iași, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Mureș, Neamț, Olt, Prahova, Sălaj, Satu Mare, Suceava, Timicipiș, Muniâl and Vâl

Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age category 30 to 39 years, 1 in the category 40 to 49 years, 6 deaths were recorded in the age category 50 to 59 years, 15 deaths in the age category from 60 to 69 years old. years, 14 deaths in the age group 70 to 79 years and 14 deaths in the category over 80 years.

49 of the deaths registered are of some patients who presented comorbidities, 1 deceased patient did not present comorbidities and for 1 deceased patient, no comorbidities have been reported so far.

In health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 6,881. Of these, 460 are hospitalized in ATI.

To date, 2,110,024 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 21,049 were performed in the last 24 hours, 12,767 based on the case definition and medical protocol and 8,327 upon request.

In Romania, 10,879 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated in their homes and 5,748 people are in institutional isolation. In addition, 37,014 people are in home quarantine and 5 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 1,032 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 691 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened especially to inform the public.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law No. 55 of 05.15.2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 404 sanctions for contravention, for a value of 54,450 lei.

Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday 4 crimes were found to frustrate the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.

We remind citizens that the Ministry of the Interior has put into operation, as of 04/07/2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where infractions to health protection regulations can be notified.

The calls are answered by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified issues.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, it was confirmed that 6,599 Romanian citizens were infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1,905 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 2,935 in Germany, 159 in Great Britain, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the USA, 111 in Austria, 20 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 19 in Greece, 5 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, United Arab Emirates, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Republic of the Congo, Hungary and Qatar.

Since the start of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic until now, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of the Congo and one in Greece, have died.

Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 338 were declared cured: 308 in Germany, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
