The number of deaths and patients in serious condition is increasing. A new record at ATI

In the last 24 hours there were 1,835 new COVID-19 cases out of 13,770 tests. Authorities reported another 56 deaths due to coronavirus infections. In ATI the number of hospitalized patients reaches 598.

To date, on October 4, in Romania, 135,900 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus have been confirmed. 108,135 patients were declared cured.

To date, 5,003 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died. Between 03.10.2020 (10:00) and 04.10.2020 (10:00) there were 56 deaths (35 men and 21 women), of some patients infected by the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Bacău, Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Brăila, Brașov, Caraș-Severin, Cluj, Constanța, Dâmbovița, Galați, Gorj, Harghita, Hunedoara, Mehedinți, Mureș, Neamț, Olt, Praho va, Sălaj, Sibiucarest, Vaslui and Bucharest.

Of these, 3 deaths were recorded in the age category 40 to 49 years, 3 deaths in the age category 50 to 59 years, 15 deaths in the age category 60 to 69 years, 22 deaths in the age category age 70 to 79 years and 13 deaths in the category of over 80 years.

55 of the deaths registered were of patients who presented comorbidities, and one deceased patient did not present comorbidities.

In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 7,826. Of these, 598 are hospitalized in ATI.

To date, 2,510,209 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 13,770 were performed in the last 24 hours, 8,720 according to the case definition and medical protocol, and 5,050 on request.

In Romania, 11,378 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated at home and 7,591 people are in institutional isolation. Additionally, 23,334 people are in home quarantine and 55 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 1,118 calls were made to the single emergency number 112.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law No. 55 of 05.15.2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 2,300 penalties for minor offenses, worth 416,330 lei.

The Ministry of the Interior has put into operation, as of 04/07/2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of sanitary protection regulations can be notified.

The calls are answered by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified matters.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, it was confirmed that 6,702 Romanian citizens were infected by COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1,917 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 2,935 in Germany, 159 in Great Britain, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the US, 120 in Austria, 20 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 93 in Greece, 7 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 7 in the United Arab Emirates and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Republic of the Congo, Hungary and Qatar. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of the Congo and one in Greece, they have died.

Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 733 were declared cured: 613 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
