Whimsical beginning of April. As of Monday there is a yellow snow and blizzard code in the mountainous area, and most of the country is subject to a cold and rain report. If yesterday the maximums reached 20 degrees Celsius in some areas of the country, today they will not exceed 14, and tomorrow they will not be higher than 7.
Meteorologist Elena Mateescu, director of the National Meteorological Administration, told Digi24 on Saturday morning that “it is becoming a habit to talk almost daily about these alternate hot days, followed by colder days, with rainfall.”
“On Friday we registered up to 23 degrees Celsius in eight meteorological stations in the south of the country, and at this moment we only registered 9 degrees Celsius. This will happen in the next few days, because we are talking about a cooling in the south and southeast, the climate will become colder than usual for this period ”, said the director of ANM.
Elena Mateescu specified that, in Bucharest, today’s maximum will be around 14 degrees Celsius, and on Sunday there will be a drop of about 4 degrees Celsius and it will rain.
“The start of next week will be characterized by the same particularly cold weather in most of the country, the highs will not exceed 14-15 degrees Celsius on Monday and the lows will be -3 to 5 degrees Celsius. And on Monday we speak of a more cloudy sky in the south, southeast and center. On Tuesday, the mercury in the thermometers will gain a few degrees more and it is possible to speak of values of 17-18 degrees Celsius, after which again, Wednesday and Thursday, a decrease of the thermal values up to 10-12 degrees centigrade ”, added the director of the NMA.
Elena Mateescu said, thus, that the temperatures similar to this spring will arrive “in the week of April 12 to 19, maintaining the signal of temperatures close to the climatological norms. The week from April 19 to 26 maintains the same signal, temperature values close to the specific ones, normal precipitation. Only during the week from April 26 to May 3 do we speak of temperatures slightly higher than those of the time ”.
