Minister Nelu Tătaru made these statements in response to a question from journalists who wanted to know what his vision is about the organization of the education system, in the context of the coronavirus pandemic.
“I recommend and continue to go for a face-to-face school, since this type of school can be done. Since locally there is a different transmission from one county to another. There remain, after the report prepared by DSP, those 48 hours in which the local intervention coordination committees analyze and, depending on the evolution, they can remain in a mixed or hybrid scenario or go to scenario 3 “, said Minister Nelu Tătaru.
On the other hand, the Health Minister specified that the authorities do not intend to consider a closure in Romania. He said that when necessary, authorities will take action and apply restrictions.
“It just came to our attention then. We take into account compliance with some rules and applying restrictions when necessary, as soon as possible,” said Nelu Tătaru.
In fact, it is not the first time that Minister Nelu Tataru rejects the idea of the total closure of Romania, due to the increase in the number of infections with the new coronavirus. In another meeting with the press, in Vaslui, Nelu Tătaru affirmed that the Romanian authorities do not see the evolution of the pandemic in perspective, until the winter holidays, but take into account the current evolution, next week.
“As you know, we evaluate each locality separately. If we impose restrictions, we impose them locally. We have that 48-hour valuation according to the information that DSP receives at 24 hours, in which the local authorities manage the evolution of the 48 , imposing restrictions. We will have meetings tomorrow night in the National Intervention Coordination Committee, in which we will impose additional restrictions, adapted according to the index at the level of each county and each locality “, underlined Nelu Tătaru in Vaslui.
