THE NEW CASE CARACAL. If the images were taken from the place of horror or not. Chief Prosecutor, response to the CONTROVERSY of the moment

DC News responds to the question that appeared in public space, about the “new Caracal case.”

Giurgiu’s case was presented to the press on Saturday. We are talking about a macabre discovery made on Friday night, in a field, after a passerby noticed a fire.

A suitcase containing the lifeless body of a woman was found at the scene.

The woman, whose identity has yet to be established, is believed to be related. She was killed and set on fire by a stranger, whom criminologist Dan Antonescu told RTV that, in his opinion, has to do with the crime scene.

A parallel was drawn between this new case and Caracal’s last year. Thus, the question was reached: “Did the police collect images of the area (n.red. Gas stations, etc.), since they could help detect the crime?”.

Images uploaded or not?

Contacted by DC News, Chief Prosecutor Ioan Adrian Alexe of the Giurgiu Court Deputy Prosecutor’s Office stated that “It just came to our attention then. At the moment, the images have not been uploaded. The necessary measures have been taken, but it takes time. It is only the beginning.”

We discovered that law enforcement officers have not yet seized the images captured by surveillance cameras in the area, but the necessary steps have been taken.
