On November 12, the Homocea City Council initiated the public procurement procedure for a 4 × 4 vehicle “in a leasing supply system.”

According to the announcement published on SICAP, the government’s public procurement portal, the commune of Homocea wanted to award a contract for the purchase of a 4 × 4 car for which it intends to pay a 50% advance and lease fees for a period of 36 months.

According to Ziarul de Vrancea, the specifications regarding this acquisition were signed by the deputy mayor of the commune, Vasile Radu, and approved by the mayor Vasile Petrea.

Diesel SUV, 4 × 4, with a minimum of 6 + 1 gears!

According to the acquisition documentation, at almost 60,000 euros, the Homocea City Council wanted a diesel SUV, with an engine of at least 180 horses and a displacement of up to 2,000 cubic centimeters, with a pollution standard of Euro 6.

The car had to have all-wheel drive, 4 × 4, automatic gearbox with a minimum of 6 + 1 gears.

The Homocea City Council had no color preferences, making it a metallic condition.

He also claimed halogen headlights, with anti-lock system on wheels, with roll-over protection bars, R18W tires optimized for driving, vehicle and pedestrian recognition assistant, with keyless technology, navigation system, Bluetooth connection, heated front seats, etc.

The auction was canceled: “The legislation did not allow it”

However, the mayor’s plans were confused by current legislation, which does not allow public institutions to spend such large sums on the purchase of automobiles. Therefore, the SEAP auction was canceled.

“We have a decision from the City Council on the purchase of a car, because the mayor’s car is 10 years old and he can no longer cope. However, the legislation does not allow us to buy a car with a cylinder capacity of more than 1600 m3 and a price of more than 18,000 euros. He didn’t necessarily want a car, the City Council approved. The money was from the local budget. Now I don’t want to hold on any longer, ”declared Vasile Petrea, mayor of the Homocea commune.
