In the last 24 hours, 692 new cases of COVID-19 were registered, of the 7,331 tests carried out. The last time there were fewer than 700 daily cases in Romania was on July 20. Another 22 people died from coronavirus infections, while 456 patients are admitted to intensive care.

To date, on September 14, in Romania, 104,187 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed.

43,244 patients were declared cured and 11,374 asymptomatic patients were discharged 10 days after detection.

Following nationwide testing, compared to the last report, 692 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were recorded, cases that had not previously had a positive test.

Apart from the newly confirmed cases, after retesting the patients who were already positive, 201 people were positively reconfirmed.

To date, 4,185 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died.

Between 13.09.2020 (10:00) – 14.09.2020 (10:00) there were 22 deaths (14 men and 8 women), of some patients infected by the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Bacău, Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Brăila, Călărași, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Giurgiu, Maramureș, Neamț, Prahova, Sibiu, Vaslui and Bucharest.

Of these, 5 deaths were recorded in the age group 50 to 59 years, 6 deaths in the age group 60 to 69 years, 7 deaths in the age group 70 to 79 years, and 4 deaths in the age group age over 80 years.

21 of the registered deaths were of some patients who presented comorbidities and 1 deceased patient did not present comorbidities.

In health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 7,134. Of these, 456 are hospitalized in ATI.

To date, 2,088,975 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 7,331 were performed in the last 24 hours, 4,854 according to case definition and medical protocol and 2,477 on request.

In Romania, 10,847 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated in their homes and 5,878 people are in institutional isolation. In addition, 36,711 people are in home quarantine and 5 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 609 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law No. 55 of 05/15/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 880 penalties for minor offenses, worth 276,661 lei.

We remind citizens that the Ministry of the Interior has put into operation, as of 04/07/2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where infractions to health protection regulations can be notified.

The calls are answered by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified issues.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, it was confirmed that 6,599 Romanian citizens were infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1,905 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 2,935 in Germany, 159 in Great Britain, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the USA, 111 in Austria, 20 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 19 in Greece, 5 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, United Arab Emirates, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Republic of the Congo, Hungary and Qatar.

Since the start of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic until now, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of the Congo and one in Greece, have died.

Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 338 were declared cured: 308 in Germany, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
