Almost 48 hours after the discovery, in Giurgiu, of a woman’s burning body, investigators still have no information about her identity.
They are pressed for time, because they know very well that solving this first step opens the way to the murderer.
However, a road trip revealed that they did not pay attention to all possible clues. On the other hand, criminologists believe that there was a very close relationship between the victim and the murderer.
Investigators collected surveillance camera footage in Valea Plopilor and Ghimpaţi, the two settlements connected to the road where the body caught fire.
They are looking for the murderer’s car: around 10:00 p.m., he most likely passed through one of the towns with the victim’s body in the trunk.
Paul Angelescu, Pro TV: “The body was set on fire on the side of a national highway where many cars pass. It happened a few meters from the side of the road, right on the gutter, suggesting that the perpetrator may have been in a hurry and made mistakes. “The other drivers could easily notice the fire.”
Which, incidentally, happened.
It is not excluded that those who stopped by the fire avoided the murderer who had recently left the crime scene. To date, no witnesses have provided valuable information in this case. And the forensic investigation, conducted at the crime scene, appears to have been redemptive.
The PRO TV team covering the issue came to the area to continue documenting the case and made a shocking discovery.
Paul Angelescu, Pro TV: “Just three steps from where the body was found, I found an ax buried in the grass“.
Immediately afterwards, the Pro TV team contacted the Giurgiu prosecutor who was investigating this crime.
Paul Angelescu, Pro TV: “The Giurgiu prosecutor told us that anything else that is discovered at the place where the body burned, after they left, is considered planted evidence. I found the ax because I stepped on something hard, in the grass, I kicked a bit and the blade came out. It was completely covered in grass, there is no certainty, there is no evidence, that it had anything to do with the corpse. “
So far it is only known that the victim is a young woman up to 30 years old, 1 meter and 65 centimeters tall.
Criminologist Dan Antonescu described a possible murder scene for ProTV News.
Dan Antonescu, criminologist: “The author was part of the entourage, of the circle of knowledge. Among them will be the author, this is the reason why he took a risk the second time: the first time he transported the body, the second time he set it on fire at night. I wanted this body not to be identified, aware that if the identity of the victim is discovered, it will be reached very quickly. You can’t find the perfect plan in an extremely short time. “
The criminology expert also says that knowing the identity of the victim will lead, in a proportion of 75%, to the detection of the offender.
