The World Health Organization recommends that those living in areas where coronavirus spreads wear a protective mask in stores, at work, and in well-ventilated schools.
People living in areas where COVID-19 is spreading should always wear masks in stores, jobs and schools that do not have adequate ventilation, the World Health Organization (WHO) said on Wednesday.

If they cannot maintain a physical distance of at least one meter, indoor people, including children over the age of 12, should also wear masks, even if the spaces are well ventilated, according to Mediafax.
People should also wear masks outdoors if they cannot maintain their physical distance.
According to Reuters, WHO spokeswoman Margaret Harris said the recommendations are among the most important changes.
“Indoors, unless ventilation has been assessed as adequate, WHO recommends that the general public wear a non-medical mask, regardless of whether a physical distance of at least 1 meter can be maintained,” he said.
The WHO also recommends the “universal” use of masks in health facilities, including in the dining room or in areas where health workers serve coffee.
