In the last 24 hours, 6,115 new cases of COVID-19 were reported, out of 41,982 tests carried out. Another 136 Romanians died after becoming infected with the new coronavirus. The number of patients admitted to ATI increases again and reaches ATI.

To date, on April 1, in Romania, 958,918 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed. 856,405 patients were declared cured.

After the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 6,115 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, cases that had not previously had a positive test.

The coefficient of accumulated infections at 14 days, reported per 1,000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Public Health Directorates, at the municipal and county levels of Bucharest. Below is the table prepared based on the reports received by CNCCI from the Public Health Directorates:

Apart from the recently confirmed cases, after retesting patients who were already positive, 1,135 people were positively reconfirmed.

To date, 23,674 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.

Between 31.03.2021 (10:00) – 01.04.2021 (10:00) 136 deaths were reported (76 men and 60 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Argeș, Bacău, Bistrița -Năsăud, Botoșani, Brașov, Buzău, Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Cluj, Constanța, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Galați, Giurgiu, Gorj, Harghita, Hunedoara, Ialomița, Iași, Meorjăure, Sii, Maiia, Maiorjăure , Timiș, Tulcea, Vaslui, Ilfov and Bucharest.

Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age category of 30 to 39 years, 3 deaths in the age category of 40 to 49 years, 18 deaths in the age category of 50 to 59 years, 36 deaths in the category of age 60 to 69 years, 49 deaths in the age group 70 to 79 years and 29 deaths in the category of over 80 years.

122 of the deaths registered were of some patients who presented comorbidities, 8 deceased patients did not present comorbidities and for 6 deceased patients so far no comorbidities have been reported.

In health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 13,252. Of these, 1,434 are hospitalized in ATI.

To date, 6,744,605 ​​RT-PCR tests and 615,745 rapid antigen tests have been processed nationwide. In the last 24 hours, 29,901 RT-PCR tests were performed (18,430 based on case definition and medical protocol and 11,471 on request) and 12,081 rapid antigen tests.

In Romania, 68,893 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated in their homes and 16,288 people are in institutional isolation. In addition, 49,147 people are in home quarantine and 108 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 5,077 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 605 of the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened especially to inform citizens.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law No. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on March 31, 7,709 sanctions for minor offenses, in the amount of 2,405,404 lei.

Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday 4 criminal proceedings were raised to frustrate the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, it was confirmed that 23,496 Romanian citizens were infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (coronavirus): 2,542 in Italy, 16,773 in Spain, 195 in the United Kingdom, 125 in France, 3,118 in Germany, 93 in Greece, 49 in Denmark, 37 in Hungary, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the US, 8 in Sweden, 137 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 46 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 7 in Bulgaria, 13 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 5 in Ukraine, 8 in the United Arab Emirates, 13 in Moldova, 3 in Montenegro, 218 in Ireland, 3 in Singapore, 3 in Tunisia, 8 in the Republic of Korea, 2 in Bosnia and Herzegovina, 2 in Serbia and one in Argentina, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Kazakhstan, Republic of the Congo, Qatar, Vatican, Portugal, Egypt, Pakistan, Iran, Slovenia, the Russian Federation and Croatia.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 189 Romanian citizens abroad, 34 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 60 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, 3 in Sweden, 5 have died in Ireland, 2 in Switzerland, 2 in Austria, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of the Congo, one in Greece and one in Iran.

Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus infection, 798 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg, one in Tunisia and one in Argentine.
