The government has established the extension of the state of alert in the territory of Romania for 30 days, starting on October 15. There are new measures imposed at the national level, depending on the infection rate in each county and locality, respectively.

When the incidence exceeds 3 per thousand, the activity will be stopped” , DSU chief Raed Arafat said Tuesday at a press conference at Victoria Palace.
He also said that, in accordance with the CNSU’s decision, all staff working in the centers for the elderly or people with disabilities will be tested weekly for SARS-CoV-2.
After tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 4,016 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, cases that had not previously had a positive test.
Another 66 Romanians died from COVID-19, while 686 patients are admitted to intensive care, a new record.
To date, on October 14, in Romania, 164,477 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed.
122,714 patients were declared cured.
