The news is updated!

And even today, the government establishes clear health protection rules for local elections September 27.

We will enter a new month of alert with a measure of relaxation in public meetings. Prime Minister Ludovic Orban announced that demonstrations will be allowed with the participation of up to 100 people, outdoors, who must respect physical distance and wear a mask.

At the government meeting, Orbam’s cabinet also sets the rules for local election day. Thus, before and after voting, voters will sanitize their hands and must stand at least one meter away, even if they are waiting in line.

Inside the voting table, there will be a maximum of 5 voters at the same time. Everyone, including members of the ward, will wear protective masks. The voting station must be ventilated and there must be no direct contact between its members and voters.

All these measures were discussed at the meeting of the National Committee for Emergency Situations and must be adopted at the Executive meeting at this time.

The government approved on August 14, by means of a decision, the extension of the alert state in 30 days in all the territory of Romania from August 16.

After emerging from the state of emergency, Romania entered a state of alert for the first time on 15 May. This is the fourth time this measure has been expanded in the context of the new coronavirus pandemic.
