Ghiță Șpagoveanu knows what bribes are. Radu Țibulcă, perhaps the future mayor of Iași, wants to be the exact opposite of his role in the series “Moldovans” about Kanal D.
The “Moldavos” series is broadcast every Saturday, starting at 8:00 p.m. There you can see Radu Țibulcă in the role of Mayor Ghiță Șpagoveanu. The actor wants to become mayor in real life, but in a few years. He spoke about this in an exclusive interview with DC News.
DC News: Tell us about Radu Țibulcă. Have you thought about entering politics? Why do you have candida?
Yes, I thought and still think, very seriously. I am thinking of going into politics when I am ready to do this, and that training means that I have accumulated a lot of experience and have reached a certain maturity, to be able to make certain firm decisions, to have credibility. in front of my potential voters.
I think being ready to enter politics also means being financially relaxed, in the sense that your financial situation should also be a kind of guarantee for your constituents, a kind of guarantee that entering politics is not. caused by the desire to get rich. Why would I get involved in politics? It’s simple … because I really want to change certain things, and not just declaratively. I consider the education I received to be a great asset and a guarantee, at the same time, that I will not take this step for undue profit or enrichment overnight, in any way. So when I enter politics, I will do it because I really want changes and I believe that they can only happen with our contribution, as citizens, through team involvement. Going into politics has been mocked lately, being associated lately with dishonesty, theft, and cunning. That is why I think it is very important to take this step, because that is the only way to change that political class that is nothing more than the current mirror of our current society.
DC News: As mayor, your “job” is still known, what would be the first thing you would do for people if, in real life, you were mayor?
I want to be mayor and I hope that in eight years I will be mayor of Iași, a city where I was born, where I grew up, which gave me the most precious moments of my life and which I love. a lot. It has fantastic potential. I want this extraordinary city to regain its status as a historic capital, in the true sense of the word. That is why I consider it so important to help, in whatever way I can, to restore that ancient splendor that Iași had, from a cultural, financial, political and administrative point of view. The first thing to do? I would “laugh” at the institutions subordinate to the mayor’s office, absolutely all the ‘nepotisms’, all the traces of nepotism, all the employees who do not justify their salaries; It would bring truly professional people to institutions, people who have had results in their fields of activity, who have counted the results of their actions, people who can build, over time, a truly developed city, with high standards. These would be the “first steps”.
DC News: I understood what the electoral motto of Șpagoveanu is – “without a thief there is no great trick”. Which of Radu Țibulcă would be which?
I don’t know, I haven’t thought about it yet, a catchphrase … until now. In the first place, the slogan / phrase that I would “embrace”, after which I would guide myself, would be that of a normality guided by common sense. I think that’s what we miss the most; people who reach high positions, who make decisions and who have common sense. Because if you have this quality, it will stop you from doing the rude things that some people do.
In addition to common sense and good intentions, it is also very important to have a good specialist with you, because anyway, as mayor, as deputy, senator, you will never be able to dominate all fields of activity, no matter how multivalent you are. I think you need to find key and competent people to implement those decisions, to put your vision into practice. Certainly, my motto will be related to common sense.
