A 19-year-old man was detained by police after blackmailing a 14-year-old boy with compromising photos, LEI Neamt spokesman Officer Dimitrie Mocanu said Wednesday.
The incident was even denounced by the minor from Păstrăveni, who said that a man threatened to post compromising photos with her on a social network.
“After the investigations, the police determined that on September 6, after some telephone conversations, the minor from Păstrăveni would have met a 19-year-old from the same town, to meet personally. The minor allegedly sent two compromising photos to the young man on a social network. Both on September 6 and September 7, the young man threatened to post the photos on a social network if he did not receive them instead of the amount of 1,000 lei. “said IPJ spokesman Neamţ.
On the night of September 8, the young man was found in traffic with the amount of 1,000 lei, the amount requested and received from the minor.
The man was detained by the police for 24 hours, being suspected of committing the crime of blackmail. It will be presented to the Public Prosecutor attached to the Tîrgu-Neamţ Court with the proposal for the adoption of a preventive measure.
