Oradea’s doctor, Flavia Groșan, escaped without sanction after Monday’s meeting of the Bihor Medical College. She came with a lawyer, but the members of the ethics committee explained that it was not an investigation, but a simple discussion about her statements.
Flavia Groșan said that medical protocol in hospitals kills patients, that medical oxygen in large quantities causes brain edema, and that COVID patients with 80% saturation can be treated at home. Supporters of the Oradea doctor also approached Bihor Medical College, who applauded her and shouted her name throughout the audience. If Flavia Groșan continues to denigrate the medical staff, she can go to the Faculty Disciplinary Commission, which can take action against her.
Flavia Groșan, mThe pulmonologist ed from Oradea, affirms that he cured 1,000 patients with COVID with his own treatment scheme.
At noon on Monday, about 100 people came to the Bihor Medical College to support Flavia Groșan. The doctor arrived there around 1:30 p.m. to be heard at the Ethics Commission.
Among those who applauded her are people who say they were treated with the treatment scheme she invented, people who dispute the existence of the pandemic, but also some who do not agree with the restrictions taken by the authorities to prevent the disease.
A family of three spoke on the spot with journalist Digi24, who was told that they were only consulted by phone, after learning that they had COVID, and the treatment scheme would not have cost more than 100 lei each.
Flavia Groșan’s hearing was determined after her statements last week, that is, that anti-COVID treatment schemes in hospitals would be too harsh and patients would be killed in hospitals, but also because they do not recommend medical treatment with oxygen.
Carmen Pantiș, president of the Bihor College of Physicians, stated last week that Flavia Groșan “treated mild and moderate cases,” and her message to patients is to stay home even if they have an oxygen saturation of only 80%.
Flavia Groșan says she treated COVID patients from all over the country online and does not know that one of them made it to the hospital. The information is not real, says Bihor Medical College.
Carmen Pantiș, president of Bihor Medical College: “My coworkers at the Municipal informed me that patients who started treatment with the doctor in the private office came to Pulmonology or even intensive care units.”
