In the last 24 hours, there were 4,875 new cases of COVID-19, out of 24,822 tests performed. Another 127 Romanians died due to the coronavirus infection. There are 1,149 COVID patients in intensive care.

To date, on December 30, in Romania, 627,941 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed.

554,056 patients were declared cured.

After tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, 4,875 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, cases that had not previously had a positive test.

The coefficient of accumulated infections at 14 days, reported per 1,000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Public Health Directorates, at the municipal and county levels of Bucharest. Here is the table prepared based on the reports received by CNCCI from the Public Health Directorates:

To date, 15,596 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.

Between 29.12.2020 (10:00) – 30.12.2020 (10:00) 127 deaths were reported (71 men and 56 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Arad, Argeș, Bacău, Bistrița- Năsăud, Botoșani, Brăila, Brașov, Buzău, Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Cluj, Constanța, Covasna, Dolj, Galați, Giurgiu, Gorj, Harghita, Hunedoara, Ialomița, Iași, Mahedinam,, Timceaișor, Tulceaman Suceava, Sibiuman , Vaslui, Vrancea and Bucharest.

Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age category 30 to 39 years, 6 deaths in the age category 40 to 49 years, 7 deaths in the age category 50 to 59 years, 26 deaths in the age category age 60 to 69 years, 45 deaths in the age category 70 to 79 years and 42 deaths in the category over 80 years.

123 of the deaths registered are of some patients who presented comorbidities, for 1 deceased patient no comorbidities were registered and for 3 deceased patients, no comorbidities have been reported so far.

In health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 9,512. Of these, 1,149 are hospitalized in ATI.

To date, 4,775,921 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 24,822 were performed in the last 24 hours, 17,552 based on case definition and medical protocol, and 7,270 upon request.

Likewise, since the last information made by GCS, the results of 42 tests processed before the last 24 hours and delivered until December 30 have been reported.

In Romania, 32,969 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated in their homes and 9,207 people are in institutional isolation. Additionally, 49,973 people are in home quarantine and 64 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 3,123 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 434 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened especially to inform the public.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on December 29 of this year, 5,608 sanctions for minor infractions, in the amount of 1,074,944 lei.

Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday 2 criminal proceedings were raised to frustrate the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code, in which 2 people are investigated.

We remind the public that the Ministry of the Interior has put into operation, as of 04/07/2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where infractions to sanitary protection regulations can be notified.

The calls are answered by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified issues.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, it was confirmed that 7,056 Romanian citizens were infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (coronavirus): 1,939 in Italy, 1,290 in Spain, 170 in Great Britain, 125 in France, 3,085 in Germany, 93 in Greece, 49 in Denmark, 36 in Hungary, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the US, 6 in Sweden, 128 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia , 11 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 2 in Bulgaria, 10 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 8 in the United Arab Emirates, 12 in Moldova, 3 in Montenegro and one in Argentina , Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Kazakhstan, Republic of the Congo, Qatar, Vatican, Portugal, Egypt, Pakistan and Russian Federation.

Since the start of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 130 Romanian citizens abroad, 33 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, died 3 in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of Congo and one in Greece.

Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus infection, 798 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg, one in Tunisia and one in Argentine.
