In the last 24 hours, 4,207 new cases of COVID-19 were registered, out of 9,938 tests carried out. Another 130 Romanians died after being infected with coronavirus, while 1,160 COVID patients are hospitalized for intensive care.

To date, on November 23, in Romania, 422,852 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed.

296,844 patients were declared cured.

Following tests conducted nationwide, compared to the last report, 4,207 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were recorded, cases that had not previously had a positive test.

Apart from the recently confirmed cases, after reassessment of the patients who were already positive, 445 people were positively reconfirmed.

In addition, the Capital and 6 other municipalities have a contagion rate higher than 6 per thousand inhabitants.

To date, 10,177 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.

Between 22.11.2020 (10:00) – 23.11.2020 (10:00) 130 deaths (74 men and 56 women) were reported, of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Argeș, Arad, Bucharest, Bacău, Bihor, Brăila, Brașov, Buzău, Călărași, Constanța, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Gorj, Galați, Ilfov, Iași, Maramureș, Mureș, Neamț, Olt, Prahova, Sibiu, Săvaș and Suvala Várancea.

Of these, 4 deaths were recorded in the age category 40 to 49 years, 9 deaths in the age category 50 to 59 years, 44 deaths in the age category 60 to 69 years, 34 deaths in the age category age 70 to 79 years. years and 39 deaths in the category of over 80 years.

125 of the registered deaths were of some patients who presented comorbidities, 1 deceased patient did not present comorbidities and for 4 deceased patients, no comorbidities have been reported to date.

In health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 13,685. Of these, 1,160 are hospitalized in ATI.

To date, 3,908,681 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 9,938 were performed in the last 24 hours, 7,488 according to the case definition and medical protocol and 2,450 per request.

In Romania, 48,034 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated in their homes and 12,459 people are in institutional isolation. Additionally, 82,274 people are in home quarantine and 15 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 3,334 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law No. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on November 22 of this year, 8,948 sanctions for minor offenses, in the amount of 1,737,293 lei.

Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, 3 crimes were found yesterday to frustrate the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.

We remind citizens that the Ministry of the Interior has put into operation, as of 04/07/2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where infractions to health protection regulations can be notified.

The calls are answered by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified issues.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of Congo and one in Greece, they have died.

Among Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus infection, 797 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
