The current situation of SARS-CoV-2 in Romania: a new balance

The Strategic Communication Group announces that until today, May 3, in Romania, 13,163 cases of people infected with the COVID-19 virus (coronavirus) have been confirmed. Of the confirmed positive people, 4,869 were declared cured and discharged.

In the Romanian territory, there are 13,349 people in institutionalized quarantine. Another 20,123 people are in solitary confinement at home and under medical supervision.

To date, 195,508 tests have been processed nationwide. Currently, 255 patients are hospitalized in ATI.

At the same time, so far, 780 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection, hospitalized in Dolj, Bucharest, Iași, Suceava, Arad, Bacău, Timiș, Cluj, Neamț, Hunedoara, Constanța, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Ialomița, Bistrița- Năsăud, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Vrancea, Galați, Caraș-Severin, Mureș, Giurgiu, Bihor, Argeș, Vaslui, Botoșani, Alba, Sălaj, Brașov, Mehedinți, Teleorman, Gorj, Prahova, Vâlcea, Călramraș

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, according to information obtained by Romanian diplomatic missions and consular offices abroad, 2,349 Romanian citizens were confirmed to be infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1,387 in Italy, 560 in Spain, 29 in France, 271 in Germany, 71 in the United Kingdom, 2 in Namibia, 3 in the United States, 4 in Austria, 3 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 2 in Turkey and one in each Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, the United Arab Emirates, Malta and Sweden. Since the beginning of the epidemic of COVID-19 (coronavirus) and until now, 93 Romanian citizens abroad, 29 in Italy, 19 in France, 28 in Great Britain, 8 in Spain, 4 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland and one in the United States, they died.
