The COVID balance remains high: 9,460 new cases. 129 infected people died in the last 24 hours | News, News Romania | Freedom

From the start of the pandemic until today, November 14, 353,185 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Romania. Of these, 9,460 were registered only in the last 24 hours, after processing 37,040 tests: 21,204 according to the case definition and medical protocol and 15,836 on request.

Most of the new cases occurred in Bucharest (1,274), followed by the capital by the counties of Cluj (601) and Sibiu (426).

In the county of Sibiu, which will be in quarantine as of Monday, the contagion rate has exceeded 8 people per thousand inhabitants, being the highest in the country. The next counties according to incidence are Cluj (7.66) and Timiș (6.63). In Bucharest, the infection rate is 5.18.

129 deaths in the last 24 hours

According to the official balance, from yesterday to today 129 people suffering from COVID-19 lost their lives. There are 73 men and 56 women.

Of these, 3 deaths were recorded in the age category 30 to 39 years, 5 deaths in the age category 40 to 49 years, 10 deaths in the age category 50 to 59 years, 31 deaths in the age category of age 60 to 69 years, 48 ​​deaths in the age category 70 to 79 years and 32 deaths in the category over 80 years.

In 120 of the patients, other comorbidities were present, another 6 had no other conditions, and for 3 they had not been reported so far.

The total number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic has reached 8,813.

12,919 coronavirus-infected patients are hospitalized in the COVID departments of Romanian hospitals, of which 1,172 are in serious condition in ATI wards.
