When asked how the situation will be handled, in the context in which many will reject vaccination, Minister Nelu Tataru said, on Digi 24, that the situation will be reached when 60-70% of the population have antibodies.

“Vaccination does not prevent reinfection, only that we get to the point where we can contract at least a mild or asymptomatic form of the disease. (…) The same precautions remain, but we get to that immunization in which 60-70 % of the population has antibodies and we will not have the same number of clinically expressed diseases or the same number of deaths, ”said Tătaru.

Tataru explained that those without the disease can be immunized when the serum is administered.

“If they do not have the disease at that time, they can be vaccinated. At this time, vaccination is carried out for those who had and those who did not have the disease, but not for those who experience the disease at the time of vaccination,” explained Nelu Tătaru .
