The Municipal Council for Emergency Situations decided on Monday that the mask should be mandatory in Bucharest in all closed and open public spaces. Restaurants, cafes, theaters, cinemas and game rooms will also be closed for the next 14 days. The measures will apply from Monday evening.

At the same time, Bucharest schools enter the red stage, so the courses will be held online. CMSU’s decision comes after the contagion rate in the Capital reached 3.19 per thousand inhabitants on Monday.

The measures provided for in the decision of the Municipal Council for Emergency Situations:

-the use of a protective mask that covers the nose and mouth is mandatory for all people who have reached the age of 5 in all open public spaces;

-The activity with the public of economic operators that carry out activities of preparation, marketing and consumption of food or alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, such as restaurants and cafes, inside buildings is prohibited;

-The activity of restaurants and cafes in hotels, pensions or other accommodation units is allowed for the people staying;

– activity with the public of authorized operators in the field of gambling is prohibited;

-it is prohibited to organize and carry out the activity in cinemas, entertainment institutions and / or concerts;

-Temporary suspension of teaching activities that involve face-to-face presence in schools, the courses will be taught online.

The measures will take effect on October 20, at 0:00.
