The Brasov-Bucharest-Constanta route, covered on Sunday in 4 hours and 10 minutes

According to a statement from the Ministry of Transport, starting on Sunday, with the entry into force of the new 2020-2021 train race, CFR Călători introduced several passenger trains offering superior InterCity services, with a short duration, increased comfort and with a travel cost similar to that of InterRegio trains.

In fact, the ministry announces a record in the distance Brasov-Bucharest-Constanta, a route of 391 kilometers.

“So the train he traveled the 391 km distance between Brasov – Bucharest – Constanta in 4h and 10 ‘today (Sunday-not), an absolute record in terms of travel time on this route. Another new element is the coverage of the distance Brasov – Bucharest in just 2 hours and 07 minutes with a single stop of one minute in Predeal. The maximum speed was 160 km / h, and the average speed exceeded 100 km / h (comparable to that of intercity trains in the European Union) ”, announced the Ministry of Transport.

The new train is made up of modern class 1, class 2 and dining car.

“The pair of trains capitalizes the modernization projects of the railway sectors Bucharest – Constance and Bucharest – Predeal, component parts of the railway corridor IV (Rhine-Danube corridor), investments financed with European funds with contribution from the state budget. This new service it is aimed both at the business environment of the three municipalities, as well as at travelers traveling for tourist purposes both in the mountain area and in spas ”, is reflected in the statement from the Ministry of Transport.
