Prima TV has recently officially joined the Clever Media group, owned by businessman Adrian Tomșa.
As you know, the acquisition operation is quite complex, given the state of judicial reorganization of the company that occupies the position. The state of the pandemic also overlapped. The reason I made the decision for this acquisition was for business, something natural for the media group we want to build.
We need a general station. Prima TV was one of the pioneers in the Romanian media market. It does not have an eroded brand, it has notoriety and that mattered a lot. The position did not benefit from development budgets. There is a lot to build in the technical area and in the content. We are ready to solve these problems of which we are aware.
We do not want to change the position of the position, of the generalist position. We will try to bring, instead, a sports component. We will try to adapt to changes and approach new paradigms, transforming television into a digital hub ”, said Adrian Tomșa, from CNA.
