The BMW 5 Series facelift hit the internet by mistake, even though the official launch is only scheduled for next month. What does the limo look like?

The future BMW 5 Series facelift is expected to hit the showroom later this year, but the coronavirus pandemic could alter the plans of the Munich bosses. Two images of the future limousine have already reached the internet.

You can see that the BMW 5 Series gets a redesigned grille, flanked by narrower headlights, with a shiny signature reminiscent of what fans of the brand know about the 3-Series. And the design of the taillights is similar.

The photos that came to the Internet show version 530 e, launched by a plug-in hybrid propulsion system, which integrates the 2.0-liter gasoline engine and an electric motor, for a total of 252 horsepower and 420 Nm of torque.

Another model “escaped” on the internet

The BMW 5 Series facelift has no longer been unintentionally revealed these days. The first images of the future iX3, the electric crossover slated to debut in the second half of next year, have also been released. The model is based on the concept presented in 2018 at the Beijing Motor Show.

The two photos were the first to be posted to a new Instagram account, which appears to have been made specifically to represent these images.

In the serial version, the model will come with elements that clearly differentiate it from the conventionally powered X3. It has special wheels with aerodynamic wheels, a cover that hides the cargo socket on the left front wing and a closed grille, but also blue accents, which confirmed its membership in the zero-emission vehicle class. iX3 will not be available with all-wheel drive.
