A first step towards snap elections
“The battle is between Iohannis and Orban for control of NLP. That is what we see now. And I only say this: President Iohannis has a weapon with which he can hit hard, namely: if no agreement is reached , the president can, for example, appoint Mr. Ciuca and then let things happen. in Parliament. If Mr. Ciuca will not be confirmed in Parliament, he will not be voted on, this means a first step towards an early election, that nobody wants at the moment. So without voting for Ciucă, let’s say, PNL and USR are only worsening their image, which is already diminishing in the eyes of the electorate. So, in my opinion, President Iohannis has this possibility at hand, of to put pressure on the PNL, because here is, in fact, the key: Iohannis and the control of the party ”, explained CTP.
