The army will be involved in vaccinating the population when the anti-Covid vaccine arrives in the country, says Health Minister Nelu Tataru.
Asked on Wednesday in Sibiu about the vaccination plan, Nelu Tătaru replied that the strategy is working.
“In this vaccination strategy, we have it in preparation, we work continuously, so to speak, we have people who establish the vaccination strategy. At the beginning of the year will come (vaccine – no.), For the medical staff, there will be several sections, each section will be distributed with the help of certain structures, ”said the minister, according to Mediafax.
When asked if the strategy included the Army, Tătaru said: “The Army, DSU, county hospitals and family doctors will be invited.”
President Klaus Iohannis announced on Tuesday that Romania will receive more than 10 million doses of vaccine in the first tranche, and the first to be vaccinated will be health workers and people at risk. The entire population can be vaccinated in the spring, Iohannis said.
