PSD President Marcel Ciolacu said that Klaus Iohannis’ announcement to postpone the appointment of a prime minister is “the announcement of a failure”, and that PNL and USR PLUS Presidents Ludovic Orban and Dan Barna are ” the twins of failure, “reports Mediafax.
“The twins of failure, Mr. Orban and Mr. Barna, want to confiscate this vote of the Romanians and, through some arrangements at Vila Lac 1, present certain proposals,” Marcel Ciolacu said Monday night on România TV.
Asked about Klaus Iohannis’s announcement that postponed the appointment of a prime minister, Ciolacu said that “it is the announcement of a failure.”
“The president is now announcing that he still has time to think and find a solution. The alliance he establishes will represent 53% of the new Parliament, that is, a very fragile majority. I do not know if Romania is prepared for the future challenges of 2021 , which are the greatest challenges, to enter with a government with such fragility, ”Marcel Ciolacu also said.
President Klaus Iohannis announced on Monday that the new Parliament will be constituted on December 21. The President stated that the conditions for the appointment of a candidate to form the new Government have not yet been met and that further consultations will be held.
