Bogdan Morarescu (Samurai) spoke in DC News interviews about what it’s like to be a freelancer.
Bogdan Morarescu (Samurai) does music, illustrations, and most recently a series of vlogs titled “The Diary of a Broken Genius.”
Invited to DC News interviews, Samurai revealed that he maintains everything he does on a daily basis. In other words, he is a freelancer. In the midst of the pandemic, being autonomous seems like a very good option. However, there are downsides.
I ask him what is the biggest disadvantage for a freelancer, Samurai said that “you are in the position of staying at home and not having a set schedule. You feel wow at first, mother, what freedom I have! But if you don’t know what to do and don’t have someone to tell you what to do, you’ll find yourself hitting your head because you don’t know where to start. You can end up in a situation where you don’t produce anything because you don’t do anything ”.
„This freedom is a gift, but it can become a curse. Especially since no one is guiding you. You always have to find the next step, ask yourself the next question and find the next answer, see how you move forward. So in a job, you come in, they tell you what to do and they pay you for it. Nobody tells us what to do. We need to find something to do that will produce and help us grow in that direction, ”Samurai said in interviews with DC News.
