Romain Grosjean miraculously escaped. First reaction after the accident
The Frenchman miraculously escaped after making his way out of the smoking rubble alone.
He was flown to the hospital by helicopter after doctors discovered he had minor burns to his hands, but thankfully no fractures. His team, Haas, published the first pictures with the pilot and your thank you message.
After the incident in which Grosjean was involved, the race was interrupted for about an hour and a half, but after the resumption of the Canadian’s car Walk Lance (Racing Point) flipped, leaving the car without problems.
Before the end of the race, another Racing Point driver had problems, smoke was coming out of the car of Mexican Sergio Pérez, who left.
