The agreement signed by Ludovic Orban and the heads of USRPLUS and UDMR aroused discontent in the field of liberals, party leaders, including Rareș Bogdan and Robert Sighiartău, who did not agree with the transfer of the Ministries of Development and European Funds .

According to some liberal sources, they tried to call a meeting of the party leadership tonight under the conditions in which such an approach can only be made by the party president.

In fact, Ludovic Orban had announced to his colleagues that he would have such a discussion with them at the end of the negotiations with USRPPLUS and UDMR, probably on Sunday.

According to the same sources, Bogdan and Sighiartău used the party’s SMS system to send the message to summon the BPN, thus attempting a coup against Ludovic Orban, who was all this time in negotiations with USR. -PLUS and UDMR.

Thus, through the text message sent through the party’s general secretary, it was reported that the meeting of the National Political Bureau (BPN) would be convened at 7:00 p.m.

Later, Ludovic Orban also sent a message indicating that the BPN will be convened at the end of the Coalition negotiations, adding that the meeting called for Saturday night was not done by statute as it should be done by the party president .

Following this message, from the party’s general secretariat, the leaders of the territory received another text message informing them that the meeting initially called was postponed to a later date because the negotiations had not ended.

According to some liberal sources, Rareș Bogdan and Robert Sighiartău have taken a step backwards because they failed to form a critical mass in the party.

Under these conditions, discussions in the coalition were resumed, suspended until the situation in the liberal camp was clarified.
