Tánczos Barna is an economist, graduated from the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest. Between 2007 and 2012 he gained government experience as Secretary of State in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure and the Ministry of Tourism.
He has been a senator since 2012, member of the Committee on Agriculture, Food Industry and Rural Development.
In the previous mandate, he was part of the specialized committee of the Parliament responsible for preparing Romania’s annual budget.
The senator has enacted laws on sustainable forest management and for efficient and ecological agriculture. It knows the challenges related to environmental protection in the development of transportation infrastructure, in the relationship between agriculture and the environment, but also in terms of reflecting environmental protection efforts in the state budget.
He is from Miercurea-Ciuc, is married and has two children.
