An IRES survey, conducted January 13-15, seeks to answer the following questions:

What are the reasons why 1 in 5 Romanians currently say they do not want to be vaccinated against COVID-19?

Who and what could cause currently skeptical Romanians to get vaccinated against COVID-19?

How many Romanians would get vaccinated against COVID-19 if a new vaccine were needed in a year?

Four out of ten Romanians say they will definitely get vaccinated

According to the survey, the percentage of Romanians who say they will be vaccinated against COVID-19 is increasing compared to previous measurements.

A trend that can be explained by the intense debates in the public space on this topic.

Four out of ten Romanians say that they will definitely be vaccinated with a COVID-19 vaccine when it becomes available to them.

A fifth of those surveyed say they will certainly not get vaccinated. 36% of research participants are undecided

25% are likely to be vaccinated, 9% are unlikely to be vaccinated, and 2% are undecided at the time of the study.

Indecisive, more like women, busy people, those who use the internet and social networks

The reasons Romanians do not want to get vaccinated are: fear of side effects, lack of confidence in these vaccines, personal health

It would make them change their minds if they received more detailed information and its meaning. How to guarantee the safety of the vaccine, information or reactions from people who have already been vaccinated. Or conditioning certain vaccination activities.

Even those who say they will definitely get vaccinated or have already been vaccinated are afraid of vaccinations. Side effects and allergic reactions are the most common.
