Victor Paul Dobre, Cezar Preda, Leon Dănăilă, Adriana Săftoiu and Ovidiu Raeţchi are the liberals who will not get a new term in Parliament.
They will be replaced by Prime Minister Ludovic Orban: Violeta Alexandru (Minister of Labor), Monica Anisie (Minister of Education), Cristian Băcanu (Secretary of State in the Ministry of Justice), Sebastian Burduja (President of Sector 1 of the PNL), Ionel Dancă (Head of the Prime Minister’s Chancellery), Costel Barbu (Deputy Secretary General of the Government). Daniel Constantin and Sorin Câmpeanu, who left ProRomania last year to vote for the installation of the Orban government, will also receive eligible seats.
The CCR gave the PSD-dominated parliament power to set the date for legislative elections, but the Orban government has an ace up its sleeve: the emergency ordinance. For this reason, PNL and PSD agreed that the date of the elections should remain December 6, as long as the pandemic does not reach apocalyptic proportions, affirm political sources on both sides. In public, PSD and NLP will fight verbally.
