Sorana Cirstea started the final in Dubai to perfection, with three matches won in a row, one of which was in the service of Siniakova. However, at 3-0, a slump in Sorana’s game followed.

The two players won the next two games played on their own serve, and then followed, 4-1 for Sorana Cirstea, five consecutive games won by Katerina Siniakova, who thus obtained the first set.

The second set started identically with the first, Sorana at 3-0. Two breaks each followed until the end of the act, and the advantage obtained by the Romanian at the beginning turned out to be decisive, Cîrstea getting the second set and sending the final to the decisive one.

The third set offered, once again, many breaks, two lost by Sorana Cirstea and four by Katerina Siniakova, the game at her own service, thus tilting the balance in favor of the Romanian player, who won the trophy in Dubai.

The Dubai tournament earned Sorana Cîrstea the ninth ITF trophy of her career, after those in Porto Santo (2005), Albufeira (2006), Bucharest (2006 and 2007), Cagnes-sur-Mer (2011), Saint- Malo (2011), Limoges (2011) and Bertioga (2016).

Sorana Cirstea also has a trophy won on the WTA circuit in Tashkent in 2008.
