Elon Musk was tested for coronavirus and the results received were conflicting. The Tesla CEO conducted four Covid tests on the same day, two of them positive and two negative, respectively.
According to Reuters, quoted by Agerpres, Elon Musk expressed his perplexity on this aspect and says that he had the symptoms of “a common cold”.
“Something extremely questionable is happening. I was tested for COVID four times today. Two tests came back negative, two tests were positive. Same device, same test, same nurse. Rapid atigen BD tests.”Musk wrote on Twitter, possibly referring to rapid antigen tests from Becton, Dickinson and Co.
The Tesla CEO claimed that he also ran Polymerization Chain Reaction (PCR) tests from different labs, and will receive the results in about 24 hours.
When asked by a Twitter user if he had any symptoms, Musk said he had symptoms of a “common cold”, adding that he had not noticed “anything unusual so far.”
Becton Dickinson announced in September that she was investigating reports from nursing homes in the United States that the rapid coronavirus test kit was producing false positive results.
It wasn’t until Thursday night that Becton Dickinson responded to Reuters’ request for comment.
