In fact, according to “Adevărul” sources, before Mirel Rădoi and Adrian Mutu announced the list of calls, there was a meeting in the federation with the two selectors in which the medical staff also participated. The conclusion? Both the great national team and the youth team were going to hand over the infected FCSB footballers. “They did three tests in four days and FIFA protocol says these tests are not conclusive. They should have been done in 7-9 days, “they told the two coaches.

First, he included Andrei Vlad and Darius Olaru in the group, although both had been diagnosed with COVID-19 at FCSB. Then on October 4, five days before the first match, Ukraine U21, Mutu made two more emergency calls from FCSB: Denis Man and Olimpiu Moruţan. I mean, exactly the footballers you said about, on September 30, that you are excluded from coming to the team!

How did this radical change come about in just a few days? “Adevărul” learned that, after the meeting at FRF, in which Rădoi and Mutu were informed that they could not summon FCSB players, pressure began from the Anamaria Prodan – Gigi Becali couple. First, he contacted Rădoi, but he stood firm in the position and refused to endanger the health of the other players called up by including some FCSB players.
As Rădoi did not give up, the next contact was Adrian Mutu, who was in very close relationships, especially with Anamaria Prodan. In the name of this friendship, Mutu suddenly changed his position and called the four FCSB footballers to the group.

Unsurprisingly, FCSB players spread COVID-19 on the national youth team. First, Mutu’s second, Răzvan Rotaru, was infected. As a result, Mutu himself had to remain in isolation, missing the match with Giurgiu’s Malta Under-21, in which Mihai Stoichiţă, the head of the Technical Commission within FRF, sat on the bench!
And then, COVID-19 cases multiplied among the players called up. Radu Drăguşin, Louis Munteanu, Alex Paşcanu, Radu Boboc, Denis Haruţ, Ştefan Vlădoiu, George Cîmpanu, George Ganea and Denis Drăguş had, one by one, positive tests.
To hide this health disaster caused by the call of the FCSB players, the youth team arrived with a lie and said that patients appeared in the group, after traveling to Ukraine for the match that Romania U21 lost with 0 -1, in Kiev.
However, this episode shows that Romanian football is still a prisoner of personal interests, which is why it is trampled on, including the health of the players.
