On Monday morning, the National Meteorological Administration issued a weather advisory for the entire country. If in some areas there will be moderate snowfall and intensification of the wind, in others there will be mixed precipitation and frost. The weather forecast was issued for Monday, 14:00 – Tuesday, 10:00.
During the aforementioned interval, in Oltenia, southern Banat and locally in Muntenia, as well as in the Banat Mountains, in the Southern Carpathians and in the Curvatura Carpathians, it will snow and a layer of snow will be deposited.
Especially in Oltenia and southwest Muntenia, it will exceed 8 … 10 cm in restricted areas, and in the mountains it will reach thicknesses of 15 … 20 cm. Especially at the beginning of the interval, the wind will intensify, with gusts, in general, of 70 – 80 km / h in the extreme southwest and in the mountains and 45 – 55 km / h in the south and southeast regions.
Especially in the south western Carpathians, the snow will be temporarily blizzard.
In Moldova and Transylvania there will be generally light snowfalls, and in the rest of the territory the precipitation will be mainly in the form of rain and sleet.
In the south and southeast of the country, as well as in the mountains, in some places frosts will be deposited.
Special weather forecast for Bucharest
The NMA also issued a special weather forecast for the capital.
Thus, between 14:00 and 20:00, the weather will remain cool and it will be closed in Bucharest. Weak precipitation will be reported, especially in the form of drizzle or lightning. The wind will intensify, with gusts of 40 – 50 km / h. The maximum temperature will be 1-2 degrees.
As of today from 8:00 p.m. and until Tuesday at 10:00 a.m., in the capital, the weather will be closed and mixed rainfall will be temporarily indicated, which will favor ice deposits. The amounts of water will be around 10 l / m2. The wind will intensify, with gusts of 40 … 45 km / h. The minimum temperature will be around 0 degrees.
