Sibiu’s 6 million lei worth of COVID-19 patient room containers are being targeted by DNA. Alba Iulia’s anti-corruption prosecutors opened a criminal case and requested documents from the Sibiu County Emergency Clinic Hospital, in whose yard the containers were placed, said Sibiu hospital military director, lt. column. Constantin-Marinel Vlase.
“Considering that regarding the role of the National Anticorruption Directorate, Alba Iulia Territorial Service, there is a criminal record registered regarding the commission of some crimes provided for by Law 78/2000, by Ordinance of the Prosecutor within the ADN it was ordered on 08.25.2020 , the delivery in photocopy of the documents related to the procedure for the award of the work contract Temporary and reversible location – modular hospital buildings as well as payments made to date. SCJU Sibiu responded to this request on September 3 by delivering the requested documents, “said SCJU Sibiu director Lieutenant Colonel Constantin-Marinel Vlase, according to Agerpres.
In October, the Sibiu County Hospital announced that it had spent more than 6 million lei on these containers, which include patient rooms. The money was delivered by the City Council.
“The works on SCJU Sibiu’s most important investment objective of the current year, namely Temporary and reversible placement of modular hospital rooms were 100% complete. The total value of the project amounts to 6,056,100 lei, of which 5,899,116.53 lei corresponds to the value of the contract for technical design and execution of the works. The funds were provided by the Sibiu County Council, which continues investments to ensure the best conditions within the largest healthcare unit in the county. The work consists of the construction of two modular pavilions, located behind the Surgical Pavilion, with an area of about 750 square meters ”, SCJU Sibiu announced in October through a press release.
