The incumbent mayor of Sector 5, Daniel Florea, who lost the September 27 elections, says that he won the elections “by a significant margin of votes” and that it is necessary to count the votes from all of Bucharest.
The Sector 5 mayoral candidate also said he wants the PSD mayors “to act as a unit” in counting votes, as various injustices have been committed.
In the Electoral Table of Sector 5 the vote count was voted. I understand that an appeal was sent to the Municipal Electoral Office, formulated by one of the candidates and today I understand that the Municipal Electoral Office sent this request to BEC. We will see. From my point of view it is a useless procrastination. I think it is necessary to count the votes in Sector 5 and I believe that in the entire Capital.
I don’t understand why we have to stay so long and think about doing a count or not. After all, it is important that citizens vote and count it correctly, not that some work two or three more days.
We decided that all the party leaders in Bucharest would meet to make a joint decision because from this moment on I do not think it is necessary to act each one separately in the sector but to act in a unitary way, a unitary team of lawyers to be able, together , to have a strong voice, ”said Daniel Florea in the context of the recently concluded elections in the Capital and as a result of which he lost the electoral race.
Daniel Florea is firmly convinced that after a vote recount he will be victorious. Asked about it, the candidate replied that:
“Certainly, I told you two days ago. Yes, and with a significantly large vote difference. In the exit polls we had until 6 in the afternoon, I had 31%, Băcanu 25 and Piedone 23. Suddenly Băcanu stayed at 25, I went down to 25 and Piedone went up to 28 ”, he also declared, Daniel Florea, according to Gandul.
