Supporters of the Black Lives Matter movement have gathered in large numbers in various US cities, including in front of the White House in Washington, to protest the possible re-election of the current US president.
According to images posted on Twitter, there have already been altercations between protesters and law enforcement. Participants describe the atmosphere as “not at all festive”, disappointing young people by the partial results of the elections, which give Donald Trump as a favorite.
In the American metropolises, large companies had already taken protective measures, closing their stores with their windows covered with plywood, to avoid the enormous damage suffered by the previous violent protests.
