Extremely dangerous situation in the Bacău belt. Just a few hours after the inauguration, several drivers were terrified when crossing the bridge that crosses the Bistrita canal. Chunks of asphalt detached from the road destroyed one of his wheels and tires. CNAIR says one of the joints was poorly made, a problem that has been fixed in the meantime.
Inaugurated before the elections, the 20 kilometers of the Bacău ring road, of which 16 on the highway, the first of its kind in Moldova, caused problems for several drivers who crossed the bridge over Bistrita yesterday.
In one direction, the expansion joints were not ready. The road had only cut the asphalt, which under the weight of the trucks began to come off. Several unfortunate drivers passing through the area damaged their cars.
Teodor Nastasă, owner of a mobile vulcanization: “I received 6 calls, I intervened in all of them. Most of the tires were destroyed after the hit with blunt bodies, respectively pieces of asphalt. 5 cars needed to be replaced. “
One of them also destroyed their rims and tires, as can be seen in the images posted on Facebook.
The Drumuri owner also admitted that there was work to be done on the bridge joints. Speed restrictions were introduced precisely because the road works were not ready.
Mariana Ioniță, General Director of CNAIR: “This section is in traffic with some speed restrictions of 90 km / h because there are still small works to be carried out in the area of fences, sound absorbing panels, ditches, small interventions in bridge joints. These works will be completed in December. “
Now, Road Company blames a manufacturing error on one of the bridge joints: along the entire length of the Bacău ring road, ”a statement said.
From a video with the new road, posted on an infrastructure enthusiast forum, it appears that there are several problems. In some places, even the metal panel that separates the travel directions is missing, as well as the edge panel.
The Bacău belt, where the companies of the entrepreneur Dorinel Umbrărescu work, has a total of almost 31 kilometers. In September, a 7-kilometer section between DN11 and DN2 was put into operation, and another 20 kilometers, in the middle of this week. A three-kilometer portion of the belt remained under construction, which the builder expects to complete by spring.
